Apply to Volunteer at Tucker House
Volunteers are essential to the success of the organization!
In this section, you will find information about volunteering with Tucker House Renewal Centre. Below is a list of "Steps to becoming a Volunteer" and the various materials mentioned are available in the left-hand menu. Our goal is to make the volunteer process clear and accessible so that we are better able to match our volunteer needs with the skills and interests of volunteers in the community.
Steps to Becoming a Volunteer
- Visit www.tuckerhouse.ca to determine if your interests/values fit the Mission and practice of TH. Review the Information Kit for Volunteers and decide which program most interests you.
- Complete the Volunteer Application Form on-line or download the Volunteer Application Form (MS Word Doc) and send it in to the Volutneer Coordinator by mail or e-mail. The Volunteer Coordinator or other Representative will discuss the application and your request to volunteer. Arrangements will be made to participate in an Orientation Session (either in person or on-line) and to sign a Volunteer Agreement.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will then arrange for you to meet the Working Group Chair or staff person associated with your specific Volunteer Position. The Chair/Staff will assign a volunteer “Mentor” who can assist with training support and answer questions about the Working Group.
- Have Fun!!
Feed-Back
Initially after 3 months and then on an annual basis we ask that volunteers do a check-in to review the orientation process and volunteer role.
